Conference Dinner
Thursday, September 4th
The LL16 conference dinner will be held at the Unperfekthaus in Essen, a venue that truly embodies the theme Spaces of Collapse and Transformation. Once a monastery, it has been transformed into a creative hub for art, collaboration, and responsibility, symbolizing renewal and reinvention. The Unperfekthaus is located a pleasant 10 mins walk away from the conference venue or via subway (station: “Berliner Platz”).
The dinner will feature an all-vegan menu, reflecting a commitment to sustainability, progressive action, and inclusivity. Reservations are now closed.

Social Excursion
Saturday, September 6th
We are looking forward to a trip to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Zeche Zollverein with a guided tour in English. Participants will be provided with a packed lunch and there will be time to explore the mining site (and its cafés and museums). We will meet at the tram station (Culture Line 107) in the morning and expect to be back there around 3pm.
